I am a survivor. I spent 30 days in hospital! Of those, 17 days in ICU 01. The longest and most painful weeks of my life. Very intense moments of mistakes and successes. Moments of pain, but also joy when I heard my heart beating every morning. I was very scared, but I kept having faith, I believed that I would get out of there. Between morphine, a fever of 43\u00b0, anaphylactic shock, loss of consciousness, itching, burning, and shortness of breath (long story short), I made it! And I had the best people by my side: my mother, my sister, my father, the doctors, the nursing staff, and my friends. All of them helped me get out of that hospital alive.<\/p><p>I was going to go through surgery for a tumor, a Meningioma (a benign tumor of the meninges). After the surgery, which was a success, I had to take some medication. And then came a surprise: one of them gave me a reaction. Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, which became TEN (Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis), affecting 70% of my skin. It&#8217;s a rare and often fatal syndrome.<br \/>I&#8217;m grateful to be here, because I didn&#8217;t just survive, I learned about myself, about God, about life and about (re)birth. I&#8217;m still learning, I&#8217;m still getting to know myself. I don&#8217;t want to be an example of anything and I&#8217;m not worried about judgments. I just want to say that today, which could be a day to remember something &#8220;bad&#8221;, is actually a day of glory.
